This beautiful 41,000 square foot campus opened in November 2011 as the new municipal no-kill animal shelter for Austin, Texas. The $13M building project is anticipated to achieve LEED Silver certification.

The engineered systems include water sourced heat pumps with advanced zoning and airborne bio pathogen controls. The building was designed with solar water heating as well as photo-voltaic electricity production.
