Eastown Veterinary Clinic
Design Learned Inc. collaborated with Mathison Architects through construction to design a state-of-the-art veterinary facility.
Eastown Veterinary Clinic was a very unique project. Starting as a small bank building many years ago, it was sold and converted to a simple, single story veterinary practice in the 2000’s. In 2015, DLI was hired to design a new, two story addition with limited renovations to the existing practice. The new design provided for separate dog and cat lobbies, a doubling of the clinical space, new building systems throughout, and considerable office and staff areas on the new second floor. DLI teamed with a local architect for the design of the exterior shell, which provided for an architectural approach consistent with the existing building and the area of historic Grand Rapids.
