Design Learned, Inc. partnered with AECOM to complete this new animal shelter that is attached to the new Lorton District Police Station.

This project involved the creation of a new county animal shelter.  This is a unique shelter project as it was designed in tandem with the new police station for the district requiring a lot of coordination between the design team and contractor.  DLI provided MEP and noise control engineering along with animal care consultation for this project.  We worked with the architect, AECOM, and civil engineer to design a state of the art facility that is informed by successful aspects of the county's other shelter but also brings some new ideas and innovations to the facility.
